403 Labs Becomes P2PE Qualified Security Assessor and P2PE Payment Application Qualified Security Assessor
Brookfield, WI – June 1, 2012 – 403 Labs, LLC, a leading information security consulting and services company, has been certified as a Qualified Security Assessor for Point-to-Point Encryption (QSA (P2PE)) and Payment Application Qualified Security Assessor for Point-to-Point Encryption (PA-QSA (P2PE)) by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council (PCI SSC).
The new certifications will allow 403 Labs to assess and validate hardware-based solutions being offered by P2PE providers to merchants as a means of reducing merchants’ PCI DSS scope. As both a QSA (P2PE) and PA-QSA (P2PE), 403 Labs will be able to work with the full spectrum of organizations that can benefit from P2PE technology. This list includes payment processors, payment terminal providers, application developers and merchants. The recently-launched P2PE program is described by the PCI SSC as “a cross-functional program that results in validated solutions incorporating the PTS Standards, PA-DSS, PCI DSS, and the PCI PIN Security Standard.”
